Selling on LMNM

Sell your car to people who know what low miles are worth

A classified you write yourself, an auction the LMNM team runs for you, or a dealership plan. One account, and the car’s history on LMNM stays in one place whichever you choose.

Sell in the classifieds

Your description, your asking price, live for 60 days. Buyers message you directly.

  • You set the price and deal with buyers yourself
  • Reviewed by the LMNM team before it appears
  • Relist any time if it doesn’t sell

Sell at auction

A write-up by the LMNM team, a full gallery, and seven days of bidding in front of the whole community.

  • The team reviews and accepts the car before it runs
  • A reserve is optional and never disclosed
  • No reserve: free. Reserve: $99 once LMNM accepts the car.

Describe the car once; the team reviews every request and agrees the write-up and a date with you before it runs. Already have a classified here? Submit it for auction from your listing.

Selling as a dealership

Inventory plans, pay-per-listing, and a portal for your team and your rooftops.

  • Plans by capacity, from five cars up
  • Inventory feeds where you have one
  • Leads land with the people who sell the car

How selling works

LMNM is for vehicles driven unusually little for their age - ordinary cars, trucks, vans and SUVs as much as collector cars. The standard is 1,000 miles a year plus an allowance for the vehicle's decade, with a 100,000-mile ceiling and a minimum age of 3 model years.

  1. 1

    Submit the car

Tell us about the car and add photos. A reserve is optional. No-reserve auctions tend to draw the most bidding, but the choice is yours.

  2. 2

    We write it up

The LMNM team reviews the car, works with you on the details and writes the listing. Nothing goes live until you have read and approved it.

  3. 3

    Seven days of bidding

Your car runs in front of the LMNM community. Bidders ask questions in the comments and you answer them there, where everyone can read the same facts.

  4. 4

    The sale

When the auction ends with the reserve met, we introduce you and the winning bidder in a private thread. Payment, the title and pickup are between the two of you, with a checklist on your account so you both see the same picture.

Those are the auction’s four steps. A classified is shorter: write it up, send it in, and it goes live once someone on the team has looked at it. What LMNM lists · Questions sellers ask · Selling safely

What it costs

A classified is $49 for 60 days. When you send the car in, LMNM places a temporary authorization for your package on your card; nothing is charged unless LMNM approves the listing. LMNM captures it only if the listing is approved, and aims to review within 72 hours (a target, not a promise). If LMNM declines the car, or you withdraw it before approval, the authorization is released and you pay nothing. If LMNM asks for changes, the authorization stays in place while it is valid and sending the car back costs nothing more. If it runs out before LMNM decides, you are asked to authorize again: LMNM never charges your card later without you. A no-reserve auction is free to list; a reserve auction is $99 once LMNM accepts the car. Dealer plans and pay-per-listing are on the dealer page; the full schedule is on Fees.
