1996 Ford Thunderbird LX Sport - 9,787 Miles - Full Xenon Body Kit!

Honest time capsule survivor with 9,787 actual miles. 1996 Ford Thunderbird LX with Sport Package option and dealer added Xenon ground effects body kit and gold emblem trim. 4.6 V-8, auto, loaded. The Sport Package ( code JJJJ )was intended to fill the void created by the discontinuation of the Super Coupe and included sport tuned suspension, independent 4 wheel suspension, stabilizer bars, variable rate coil springs, 4 wheel disc brakes, upgraded rear axle, Super Coupe 16" wheels and spoiler with brake light. This Thunderbird is in outstanding condition, looks, runs and drives just like a new vehicle and all accessories work as they should. Includes owners manual, Ford demo cassette tape, original retail contract and clean Carfax that backs up the history. The undercarriage is just as original as the rest of the car and has not been detailed so it has some vintage cobwebs included, has just a few minor paint chips on front as seen. Comes with one original set of keys, the other set and factory floor mats cannot be located. The check engine light is on due to code PO172: Mass Air Flow Sensor (O'Reilly Veri Scan provided). 1990's plastics were not the best and the first owner apparently had long finger nails and scratches can be seen in some of the the black plastic door handle & switch accessory panel bezels area as shown, easily repaired or replaced with new panels if desired. This T-Bird was purchased off the showroom floor new at Metro Ford in Independence MO by the first owner for his wife who when presented the car did not like it. Driven on a couple summer vacations in 1996 and then stored covered in a climate controlled garage. After the woman passed away the original owner updated the registration in 2023 added new tires, battery, suspension stabilizer bar kit and had the fuel system refreshed.
