37K - Mile 1993 Toyota Corolla DX in Tawny Rose Pearl Metallic

Remarkably preserved and increasingly difficult to find, this 1993 Toyota Corolla DX sedan shows just under 37K original miles. Built in the NUMMI Toyota Plant, Fremont, California USA and distributed by Southeast Toyota Distributors, Inc., this Corolla has spent its entire life in Georgia and is accompanied by an accident-free CARFAX history.

The car has a wonderful family ownership story. The original owner was the grandmother of the elderly lady from whom I acquired the vehicle. She had inherited this Corolla from her grandmother years ago, giving the car a special family history before it came into my ownership.

Finished in beautiful Tawny Rose Pearl Metallic, the color has a unique appearance that changes hues with the sunlight. The exterior presents exceptionally well, with very few blemishes beyond the items specifically noted below, and the overall finish is remarkable for a 1993 vehicle. The front bumper cover was recently refinished and matches the surrounding body panels extremely well. Photos in the gallery document the bumper prior to refinishing and clearly show the condition that was addressed.

The Corolla is equipped with a 1.8 Liter 4-Cylinder Twin Cam 16 Valve EFI Engine, 4-speed electronic controlled automatic transmission with overdrive and it runs and drives spectacularly. The cruise control works perfectly, and the air conditioning is exceptionally cold, measuring below freezing temps at 28°F.

The timing belt was replaced at 17,072 miles, and the car has recently received service and inspection. It rides on brand new Toyo Extensa All-Season tires in the proper factory size and tread configuration.

Originality is one of this car’s strongest attributes. It retains its original Toyota Easy Eye tempered glass throughout with VIN security etching on the glass. All original VIN identification tag stickers are present throughout all body panels. The original temporary spare tire and OEM jack appear to have never been used, and even the trunk cardboard remains exceptionally well preserved. The vehicle also comes with an original 1993 Toyota Corolla owner’s manual, original window sticker from new, and three keys.

The interior is remarkably well preserved and still retains that distinctive period-correct Toyota cabin scent, adding to the genuine time-capsule feel of the car. There are no signs of smoking or other unpleasant odors.

There is a minor windshield-wiper scuff on the windshield that was intentionally left untouched rather than polished or replaced. The original rubber weatherstripping and exterior trim around the door glass shows some age-related deterioration consistent with the vehicle’s age. The rear stereo speakers are functional, but their sound quality has diminished with age, while the front door speakers are currently inoperative.

This is an honest, exceptionally low-mileage example of Toyota’s legendary early-1990s Corolla, combining a wonderful Georgia family ownership history, an accident-free CARFAX, outstanding originality, beautiful presentation, and a level of preservation that is becoming increasingly difficult to find.
