INTRODUCTION: Only 5,486 actual miles! This one-owner 30th Anniversary Trans Am was owned by the original selling dealer, Haggerty Pontiac, and used as a parade car. It is #520 of only 1,600 produced and one of just 535 convertibles. Exceptionally preserved and documented with a clean Carfax, window sticker, build sheet and manuals. This is a rare opportunity to own an outstanding example!
EXTERIOR: The Trans Am had some seriously aggressive styling for its era, and the 30th Anniversary Edition takes it to another level. Up front is the dramatic bulged twin Ram Air scooped hood feeding the LS1, along with the aerodynamic front fascia with integrated fog lamps and signature hideaway headlights. The aero treatment continues with sculpted lower rocker moldings, aerodynamic mirrors, rear spoiler and a distinctive rear fascia with Pontiac’s honeycomb-style taillights. The Arctic White exterior is still wearing its original factory paint and is close to pristine, accented by the signature blue 30th Anniversary stripes. The glass is crystal clear and the weatherstrips remain soft. Even the power convertible top is special, finished in rich blue cloth and still in excellent condition. Unique 17-inch five spoke aluminum wheels have a blue anodized tint and 30th Anniversary identification, and they’re wrapped in BFGoodrich G-Force Comp-2 performance tires. Special 30th Anniversary logos on the doors provide the finishing touch.
INTERIOR: The interior is all original and in excellent shape, showcasing the desirable white Prada leather upholstery with blue embroidered 30th Anniversary logos. It is equipped with supportive sport seats, with the driver’s seat featuring power adjustment for added comfort. The sporty center console houses the controls and prominently displays the 30th Anniversary plaque, identifying this car as number 520. Entertainment is handled by the Monsoon stereo system, complete with an equalizer and CD player, along with the optional CD changer mounted in the trunk. Additional features include steering wheel mounted controls, a tilt steering wheel, a full set of factory gauges, and full power accessories including power locks, power windows, and power mirrors. It even has 30th anniversary floor mats.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Under the hood is the legendary LS1 5.7-liter V8, and this one remains completely stock and exceptionally well preserved. The functional Ram Air system feeds fresh air through the twin hood scoops, helping the LS1 produce 320 horsepower in WS6 trim. Everything presents just as it left Pontiac, right down to the factory intake, ignition and accessories. The engine bay is remarkably clean and original, with the hoses, wiring, plastics and finishes all presenting exceptionally well.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It is surprisingly deep and offers useful cargo space for a performance convertible. It is fully carpeted and presents in excellent condition. The hatch can be released remotely from inside the car or right from the key fobs. It also includes the storage bag for the three piece convertible top boot, along with the optional factory CD changer.
UNDERSIDE: It features the desirable WS6 performance suspension, which includes a specially tuned suspension with larger sway bars and firmer springs and shocks for improved handling. Up front is independent suspension, while the rear uses a solid axle with coil springs, trailing arms, torque arm and track bar. It has power 4-wheel disc brakes with ABS. The factory exhaust system is still in place and exits through the polished tips. Looking up at the drivetrain, it retains its original 4L60-E 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission, which sends the power back to the limited-slip rear end with 3.23 gears. Overall, the underside is remarkably well preserved and presents exactly as you would hope from a low-mile, original survivor.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and our reputation. Every vehicle goes through our service department where it is inspected, test driven, and we address the essentials before offering it for sale.
CONCLUSION: This has to be one of the best examples in existence. Beyond its rarity, incredibly low miles and unique history, this Trans Am is downright exciting to look at and even more exciting to drive!
